Restoran Loong Foong Seafood 龙凤海鲜河鱼饭店 @ Taman Paramount, PJ

There are plenty of roast duck shop in . Loong Foong is one of the best crispy roasted duck I had so far. I have been here many times and visited again last week. We reached there by 5pm and we were the first customers on that day. Hmm, I don’t care if I am the first or last customer, as long as I got to eat the roast duck! 🙂

Located at a first corner shop in Taman Paramount, Loong Foong is a restaurant serves seafood and other Chinese dishes since many years ago. Despite of the restaurant’s signboard that stated seafood, but it seems like the roast duck is the main business here.

Finding a parking near the restaurant is a big problem, especially during peak hour. This roast duck stall is located inside Loong Foong, not sure if they are under the same boss or running on its own. Because customer pay separately for the food order in the restaurant and the roast duck stall.

It used to be a simple restaurant with fan only. And now it is renovated to two sections – non air conditioned and air conditioned dining area.

People come here will sure order roast duck. Personally, I think this restaurant became famous due to the roast duck! You can see customer queue up for roast duck as early as 5pm. It was always very busily packed. It is important to pre-order your duck to avoid any disappointment, even though you could see some still hanging at the stall.

Attentive and efficient. However, they might be slow due to the big crowd on peak hour / season.

We have ordered a half Roast Duck (RM25). It was golden brown and had a super crispy skin and a thick layer of fat, the marinate that they use masks the usually strong duck smell and gives it a very nice blended taste.

The amazing thing is the fact that each and every slice of duck meat is seamlessly tender and delicate while the gravy adds a whole new dimension of flavor and earthiness to it, making each mouthful of roast duck so yummy!! The duck gravy and homemade chili adds a whole new dimension of flavor and earthiness to it!

You might be shock for the price of roast duck here. However, for RM50 you get the whole bird, delicious with an expectedly crispy skin and juicy meat that justify its price and reputation.

We wanted to order some veggies unfortunately the restaurant will only operate another half an hour, so i decided to get a box of Acar (RM7). The mildly spicy pickled veggie mix is a nyonya dish that has found great favour among nyonya parents and their children. It tasted so yummy! Anyway, I couldn’t finish it and brought back for my mom because Steven don’t like Acar. Surprisingly, it was still fresh after few days keeping in the fridge!

Acar in packing and ready to eat!
