Recently I like to go morning jog with family during the weekend.

We will then go for breakfast. So we went to a new Indian restaurant nearby Seremban 2.

THE RESTAURANT:
Restoran Chimpu Chapati opened sometime early this year. Situated in Seremban 2 (row behind Paparich Cafe). Serving mainly of Northern Indian cuisine based on ‘fine dining’ concept. Special menu such as: Briyani (Chicken, Mutton, Vege), Chapati, Paratha (Cheese, Chicken, Aloo), Puri, Naan (Plain, Garlic, Butter), Chicken Masala, Mutton Masala, Mutton Keema, Khabab, Pakora and Vegetarian Food. Masala Tea is one of the popular drink here.

FIRST IMPRESSION:
Walking in, I noticed that the interior was very simple and clean. There two area sections which is air-conditioned and non air-conditioned. The restaurant is spacious and looks accommodating for families and large groups.
Their menu was very simple but confusing to choose from. On the menu it stated picture of foods served for breakfast and lunch. I ordered Nasi Lemak which stated under the ‘Breakfast’. Unfortunately, I was told that it is only available for lunch. I was quite disappointed.

SERVICE:
Maybe the restaurant is just newly opened, i noticed that there were only one staff are working. I doubt the waiter cum supervisor is from India as he spoke with strong Hindi accent. But he speaks English and Malay fluently. So there will not be any miscommunication barrier. The service was decent and service. Very friendly but he has made an error. As we have ordered two hot Horlicks and it came with the cold one. Anyway, it was just a small matter. He apologised and thing settled fast.

THE FOOD:
The Roti Canai was not oily but not crispy at all. The pastry was made in thick dough which I felt like I am eating a pita bread. It served with Dahl and Masala Kari. I requested for some Sambal, but was told that it is not available.

The Poori was very crispy and nice. It was a flavorful appetizer. As Poori is fried, though it was abit oily.

We also ordered the Paratha Cheese as we are cheese’s lover! Again, it disappointed us. With the price, we expected something special. The bread was hard and same goes to the cheese.

About the drink. I must say that the drink was better than the food. We have ordered Teh Tarik, Hot Horlick and Milo Iced. Everything was perfect. They were quite generous of the amount of powder when making each drink. It tasted very ‘kao’!!
